Morgan, Kjia and Maddy working hard taking care of all their show animals. They were also singing and dancing on the hay bales. The girls had a great time hanging out together. Morgan and Kjia took two heifers each and one steer to the True Blue/Aggie Classic. This was held close to home which was very nice. We had two shows and 68 heifers and 54 steers were invited to show.
Rhett and his buddies had a great time playing on the equipment and just being boys. We were at the USU South farm in Wellsville. We love those shows that are close to home.

Kjia was showing Roxy and boy was she naughty today. We had shown her two other places and she had never acted this way. Shawn Summers, a good friend went and helped her because she was too naughty for even me to handle. Roxy is the family pet and Shane just loves her. At home she is a gem so who knows what made her such a pest this day. Some of the heifers were in heat(had some evidence on the back end) and so the girls asked Shawn Summers what that meant, he told them to go ask their mother. They say this life is truly an education when you are raising kids and animals on a farm.
Kjia posing for a camera. She is always loves her picture taken.

Morgan showing her heifer. She is a Angus Heifer that she bought out of the Rocky Mountain Angus Sale. She won the futurity last year with a Angus totally about $1200.00. This show was an all breed show and as we all know that a Maine heifer will truly beat out an Angus but we just needed to get some points for the futurity and we did with her reserve champion showman.
Morgan showing Dip-n-Dots and won Reserve Champion Showman. She did an excellent job with 18 kids showing in the Junior Division. She is such a natural when is comes to showing and her heifer was calm and worked well for her. We have showed her also before and she is settling down and acting like a little lady now.
We spent all spring break getting ready for this show and we really needed the break. Cattle Shows can be fun but their are a lot of hours put in before the shows. These kids are great help and help tons at the shows but they also need to go with their friends and hang out. What great memories we are having with our kids and their friends.
